90s are calling / need a visible hit counter

Hi,

a client wants to place a simple visible hit counter on the website. It has to be gdpr compliant, so no storing of IP addresses. What is the best way to achieve this?

Thanks - I am using this now and have sent him a message about the question. Let’s see if he responds. Still looking for alternatives in case he doesn’t.
