Im about to publish a new site selling a new product.
I seem useless at using / decipering Google Analytics, and wondered if ayone could suggest an alternative.
I’d love to know what search term was used.

You might want to take a look at Matomo. No idea why that link has come up in French!

If you use the hosted version it’s not free, least I don’t think it is. But you can self host it, then it’s free for as many sites as you want. Just be sure to host it on a server with some power and a lot of storage, as it is a bit of a resource hog.

It will do 3 of the 4 things you are interested in out of the box, but the keywords terms are a paid extra.
Ah that makes sense. I have not had time to go through it all. But I have installed the free trial and will download the free version later. I’d be happy to pay for keyword performance for a year or so though.
