That’s not the one which is different.
Hi, @peter_danckwerts,
If you discerned a difference in a picture – congratulations. I have tried to click on an object that seemed to be square rather than spheric, an object in spotlight rather than in shadow and a couple more alternatives and nothing seemed to work. I fully appreciate cautiousness and security they have in mind, but why do they have to do it in such unnecesserily burdensome way?
If you could tell me how different is the correct object, I might try again. Otherwise, I just got myself a brand new shiny Discord account that I cannot use.
Is it the object with two appendages sticking out?
It’s a different shape. I can’t say that I think it would fool modern AI, just us humans!
Thanks, Peter,
I will give it one last chance and then I quit trying. It’s ridiculous…
So, on my last attempt, I logged-in successfully and I used the link you’ve provided, Joe. This time, I got this error message:
What the hell is going on with Discord?
Hi, There’s only one that doesn’t have a yellow dot on its body (spherical part). Great game, I wonder if I’m not going to unsubscribe from discord just to have access to it, it’s not fair that it’s only for others 🤣
The larger issue it not hearing from Isaiah for months at a time…
Making new software is difficult, waiting for new software without a word is troubling.
I am understand your grievance. If you have any questions I would be happy to help. There is a good chance that I know the answer. Outside of a release date though for the next beta though. One of the hardest things ever to trying to come up with a timeframe for when a piece of software is going to be ready.
It is true that it is my fault that we don’t have a beta yet. Isaiah added a big feature for me. That is now done. Foundation 6 officially works inside Stacks Pro. Isaiah is working on some UI workflows for new projects in order to make the workflow of creating a new project a little more seamless. I suspect it will be ready for wider consumption after that.
I don’t have any specific questions but I think the contrast between the weekly Elements videos vs the lack of communication from Isaiah is pretty stark. And while I’d rather have Isaiah develop vs record/edit/upload videos, even a bi-weekly/monthly screenshot and quick written update on his discord would go a long way for people.
It’s easy to forget that Stacks Pro will have so much more functionality vs Elements at first release but because Realmac has been actively transparent in showing off their shiny new toy, I think people are just getting a bit antsy.
I completely agree with you. I’m all in on Stacks Pro and Blocs from now on. Once Stacks Pro becomes available, I will purchase it immediately and say goodbye to RW in an instant! Of course, this is assuming that Stacks Pro is a one-time purchase. If it’s a subscription model, I will stick with RW Classic and Blocs as my backup plan.
My post was suggesting exactly what you said, without coming out and saying it.
I am guessing that Elements is almost finished at this time & so have to wait and see what happens with StacksPro in the coming months.
After this beta is out there, I will start doing regular Stacks Pro sessions. My goal is to try to use this build full time.
Much appreciate this Jannis and @joeworkman - with a big project about to happen (the biggest one I have ever tackled), I need to know that if I continue the build in RW, then I am going to be able to move it over to Stacks Pro.
If you have a big project about to start, I would think that you should use RW+Stacks 5. There won’t be any surprises with going with that well-tested setup. Once you are familiar with Stacks Pro, migrating a project from RapidWeaver to Stacks Pro should be straightforward, as long as you are not using a traditional RapidWeaver theme.
Stacks users will benefit greatly from not having to rebuild their website from scratch in order to migrate to Stacks Pro.
And speaking of betas… Here is the recording of a 3 hour hangout that I did with Total CMS 3 beta testers yesterday. Getting Stacks Pro and Total CMS 3 in 2024, is going to make for a very exciting way to round up the year and rev up 2025.
Thanks Joe, you’re absolutely correct on that - the beta was a revelation and making good progress, but RW is definitely the way forward for the forthcoming build.
And no I’m not - it is all your fault - I gave up RW themes when Foundation came out ☺️
