Is it possible for us to inquire about or engage in discussions regarding the Stacks Pro App developed by @isaiah? Or do we need to go to his Discord page for that?

You can engage as much as you like, but I don’t think you will get a lot of useful info here. I have not been to the Discord page, where you’re supposed to get first-hand info from Isiah, but from other people’s reports I conclude that there is not much there, either. We’re living in bleak times…

Correct me if I’m wrong.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It appears that Realmac’s decision to raise the price of Elements indicates a strategic shift that may eventually lead to the phase-out of Rapidweaver. While Stacks Pro has been suggested as an alternative, I coudn’t find any updates anywhere on the web, it seems the app may be on hold or may not fully support the needs of Stacks users within the Rapidweaver soon to be dead community. Your concern about future updates for Stacks if Rapidweaver is discontinued is valid. It’s crucial to consider whether sticking with Rapidweaver as a shell will remain a viable option for those who prefer not to transition to Elements. That way Stacks devs can keep updating and selling Stacks and we can use them within the Rapidweaver abandoned app. What do you think?

I’ve heard from two prominent stack developers (in direct conversations with them) that they have a multitude of new stacks, but they are waiting with the release until Isaiah’s Stacks Pro app shows up. I’m sure other developers assumed similar strategy.

I wouldn’t count this community off just yet. I like to think that this community is dormant rather than dead. Everybody is waiting for something big to happen…

We mustn’t just sit and wait in the meantime. That would be a perilous situation.

Stacks Pro is very much alive and not dead. We all will be transitioning to Stacks Pro, there are already a bunch of beta’s that were released, and the next one that is coming out will be more functional.

Thanks for the little bit of light at the end of the road. Hope is crucial in the present moment.

As I told you on Discord last week, a new Stacks Pro beta should be pretty soon. There are just a few more wrinkles that need to be ironed out. The goal is for this build to be a lot more functional than the early betas. I can vouch for that.

Those were your exact words, if I remember correctly. I didn’t want to bother you with more questions, but that doesn’t clarify our current situation. Understand that we can’t base our business on a promise. My urgent search for information is because I don’t want to spend money on other alternatives. Please don’t get upset with me for wanting to know about the future of Stacks. The only company showing any progress is Realmac, and that’s an app I don’t want to purchase. I’m a friend, not an enemy.

Forgive me my ignorance, @joeworkman, but I am confused. Please, let me get this straight once and for all: is the Stacks Pro you are talking about the same app that has been promised by Isaiah a long time ago? Or, is it developed independently by yourself? Or is it developed jointly by yourself and Isaiah, or any other developer?

It is the Stacks Pro from Isaiah / Yourhead, there is already a developer beta out and we have that. Stacks Pro was shown off at the Stack Summit back in April. Shortly after a public developer beta came out.

The next beta to release as Joe stated is going to be more functional for regular users.

Joe is not developing it, but is helping test features with Isaiah for the next beta release. This has been stated on Yourhead’s Discord channel.

Not upset at all. Don’t be scared to ask more questions. That is why we are here.

Isaiah is the sole developer working on Stacks Pro at the moment. I do my best to fields questions throughout the communities so that he can focus all of his energy on developing the app. We all want it faster.

Thank you for this straight answer, @joeworkman. That helps me understand the dynamics of what is going on.

One more question. If someone would want to participate in beta testing of Stacks Pro, what they can do?

Login to Discord and download the beta (which is still the old version).

I would then wait for the release of the next beta version.

Correct, beta 10 is the last one. You should wait for the next beta version (whatever number that will be).

So, I just created a Discord account and logged in. Then, I went to YourHead website, where there is a Discord server link in the footer. However, after clicking that link, I got a Discord message saying that “the invite is expired”. How do I get a valid invite?

Thank you, Joe. This worked. But I am still locked out. Discord asks me to verify that I am not a robot and they show me a ridiculous image where I am supposed to click an object that is different. What the hell is that? How different? In shape? In color? In political or religious connotations? I tried my best to determine a difference and I couldn’t. Are they trying to deter people (not robots) to enter?

BTW, before you suggest that, I have tried to click the object in spotlight, but it hasn’t worked.
