I am trying to add a new post to an existing alloy blog, but the editor page is not even showing up in the browser in order to login.
https://engh-verpackung.de/blogeditor/
What I tried so far:
tried safari and chrome
witching the php version for that domain
resetting the passwords for primary and secondary users
I republished the entire site
I double checked all stack settings (although I haven´t change anything since the last time I published the website)
I can not see any difference between this blog setup and others, which are up and running as they should. These are running on PHP 8.3
e.g. this one:
https://stronger.vision/blogadmin/
Funny is, that both websites share the same error message when inspecting the page in the browser. Unfortunately these error messages don´t tell me nothing.
Any idea how to fix that?
Which PHP Version is “best” for alloy?
I am under pressure as my client wants me to add 2 blog posts asap, so any idea and advice is very much appreciated!
now it´s getting weird!
I noticed that foundry v2 “equalize” stack has been marked as missing / not installed in my RW project.
This alone is strange…
I tried to freshly download the foundry stacks from cartoom again - but guess what - Adam has killed this function, too.
So I looked up what I can find on my Mac and did a drag and drop of the foundry stack file onto the Rapidweaver Icon, hoping that the missing equalize stack will be added to my stacks library again.
But surprise! The result: no, it did not add to my library. In addition, also the “typeface” stack is missing now ?!? (which was there today morning)
damn, what is going on here??
anyway - I am in need of these stacks urgently, especially the typeface stack is essential!
may I ask if one of you guys is willing to send me the stacks file? Ideally the most updated version of it?
of course I can proof that I am a legal order (I literally bought everything from elixirgraphiscs).
I wonder why this is happening…? Could it be that using stacks 4 and RW 8 is causing such strange behaviours?
after digging deeper I noticed that we had foundry v1, v2 and v3 - in the stacks library v1 and v2 share only one container/package. I guess I have overwritten v1+v2 with the stacks of v1 only. so this is sorted.
after reinstalling all I have I count 63 stacks in total for v1+v2 plus 9 stacks in a separate folder “new stacks”…
the one I am aware of which is still missing is the equalize stack.
Who is willing to send it to me or sharing a download, please?
There is a JavaScript error inside the Alloy JS code, which you can see in the browser developer tools.
so, there is nothing I can do about it?
But it´s weird, that it works on one domain, but not on the other (although it has worked on both n the past). Have you taken a look on both URLs?
I have not changed the editor pages in RW and they only contain alloy, foundry control center, typeface stack with just 1 font und the editor stack itself…
Everything sorted regarding the stacks - there were 2 stacks missing, but I managed to find the missing files and installed them again!

Actually this error happens on both your domains, so it isn’t related to this.
For me it looks like the editor isn’t loaded at all on the defect website.
if somebody runs into similar problems, here is what I can deliver as a learning from this horrible day:
it turned out that the solution was to clean the webspace and export to a local folder and copy the files to the webspace manually.
Besides that I had a German letter “ü” in a title of one blog post which seemed suspicious (although the blog was working fine for months)
and while inspecting the browser errors I noticed a silly @import command which tried to load a google font which wasn´t even used on this page. But I had a typeface stack set to “google font” in a prior version of the page…weird.
