I posted a similar question on W-S a few days ago, but nobody has been able to answer the question. I’ve also reached out to 1LD’s help desk (and followed up; does anyone know if Jonathan is active here?), but have yet to hear back (other than the auto-response thanking me for reaching out).
I’ve integrated a Live Search 2 box into the header of each page, and configured it t > index from our TCMS blog sitemap, which currently includes about 50 posts. Although there are no static index files at that location, the system generates them on the fly when a visitor clicks a “read more” link. I’ve double-checked the URL used in the search box, and it’s definitely correct.
Potential Issues:
- User Error - quite possible, but I have followed the instructions (I think, so anyway!)
- Is there an issue with how Live Search 2 processes the TCMS permalinks?
- Could the firewall be interfering with AJAX calls needed for indexing?
- I am employing an IP whitelisting method approach to restricting access to the site; any chance this could be causing any sort of issue?
I’m open to other solutions if anyone has a better approach. The complication is that the Intranet hosts two additional blog types (News and Employees), and the built-in TCMS search feature only indexes one blog at a time. Since this client is using three, that limitation rules it out.
Many thanks, ~ Dave
