HypeTitles and an apostrophe

Hi, @Multithemes,

I have one major problem with the HypeTitles stack. When I use an apostrophe (') in the title of HypeTitles stack, the page layout breaks. When there is no apostrophe in the title, then everything works fine.

Can you explain this conflict and—more importantly—fix it, so that an apostrophe can be used?

HI Rob and thanks, in this test the stack works but I think it depends on the font support.

what word did you use and what font?
…or send me a project page by email

Hi, @Multithemes,

The word I used was “Rosalina’s” and the font was “Changa Extra Bold”. If this is of no help to you to diagnose, let me know and I will make a sample project for you.

BTW, I am using the Source framework, if that is of consequence…

Have you tried using the HTML entity code for an apostrophe instead? Hopefully it is displayed below

Hi, @pmjd,

No, but I have tried the   and it hasn’t worked. I will let you know about the apostrophe entity, though…

No, unfortunately, HypeTitles does not accept html entities at the moment. But thanks for the suggestion. Here’s what it looks like:

I’ll take a look, I have to try it with the framework first

Thanks a lot, @Multithemes. I look forward to a solution. Please, let me know if you’d like to get a sample project.

yes, very helpful

Yes, that’s the one. I like this font because of its utility as a title & header font with short ascenders and descenders. That allows for a minimum line spacing. Equally important for me is this font’s inclusion of German and Eastern European accented characters which I use most often besides the basic set of characters.
