Kopya is now on the Mac App Store. It’s a native Mac app for keeping two folders in sync. Pick a source, a destination and a direction, set a schedule, and it keeps them in step: locally, to an external drive, or to a server over SSH.
The one I built it for: tcms-data. Pull it down from the live server into your local Patchy, ServBay or MAMP site, work on the content locally, then send it back. Source and destination swap with one click, and a dry run shows every file that would change before anything moves.
New during
the beta: Flip, for keeping several versions of one folder (Local Dev, Staging, Live) and swapping which one your site reads.
It bundles its own rsync-compatible engine, so there’s nothing to install.
Apple Silicon, macOS 26.5 or later. Free for one sync job, with every sync feature included. A one-time $59.99 USD unlocks unlimited jobs and Flip. It’s not a subscription.
I made it. Thank you to everyone here who tested it.
