Ready to bring your RapidWeaver Classic project into Stacks 6?

RWMover is a free Mac app that transfers supported pages, stack content, images and settings into a new, editable Stacks project. It includes additional support for Foundation 6, and your original RapidWeaver project stays unchanged.

Every project is different. With so many combinations of stacks, themes, partials and custom code, a 100% identical conversion cannot be guaranteed. Some elements may need adjustments or rebuilding, and Stacks 6 is still in beta.

The aim is to give you a useful starting point for your project in Stacks, with less manual rebuilding. Review the result, make it your own and test everything before publishing.

Available in English and German for macOS 14 or later.

I am getting an error: Page content could not be read
RWMover cannot reliably read the content on “Contact”.

The content on page “Contact” could not be fully read: The Stacks content could not be fully read.

I am using FormSnap 4.1.2 with Maik Barz’s QR Generator, Turnstile, Cookie Jar, Foundation 6 on Foundationbox’s Nero. There are parts of the website that use TCMS 3 but not on this page.

Has the project been created? If so, what’s missing from the page?
Is Formsnap a plugin for RapidWeaver? Stacks doesn’t support plugins.

Yes the RW8 project has been created and is published see https://bailinstudio.com. If it doesn’t support plugins is there a way to ignore the plugins and continue with the conversion by identifying the dropped plugins?

Should I remove this page for the transfer and add it in Stacks 6?

For now, I just have this as a quick note and not a complete log. It doesn’t necessarily mean there’s an error. It’s more of a reminder that you should check the page’s content.
I try my best to copy the content over completely. That’s not always possible. In that case, some follow-up work may be necessary.
Check the two contact pages in RW and Stacks to see if you notice any differences. If not, then everything is fine.

There is no Stacks version. The conversion never completed

Ah ok. Can you please check if the process completes without the contact page in RapidWeaver? If yes, I am interested in your RW project file.

Took out the Contact page and RWMover is moving. I’ll let you know how it goes. Wonder what was on the contact page that messed it up. May I send that page to you? If so, How?

I’m just wondering if RW themes can be used it Stacks 6. In my case I’m using Source, and I hope I can still use it!

I looked at the log. Error: Stacks could not complete the operation: Stacks could not complete the operation: The request timed out.

This error occurred at page 114/149.
