Sad news from Chillidog hosting

Just got an email from Greg at Chillidog Hosting…

“Today, I’m excited to share that Chillidog Hosting has been acquired by Exact Hosting”

Will see how that goes. Might stay with new owners or take the opportunity to move host.

What are folk using for UK hosting? Free SSL and one price without silly add ons?

Sad news indeed, @barchard posted over on the Realmac Forums with more details for those that are curious!

That’s pretty much what he sent to his customers.

Clook. As recommended ages ago - IIRC - by BWD.

About 6 months ago, I started a hosting company BetterSiteHost. I have been focusing on the backend so far and everything is running pretty smoothly now. I have not had time to design a marketing site for it yet.

Here is a post from my community with more details. I have more open spots now. But they are limited. I just requested some more space from my datacenter provider this morning. I can offer servers in 32 data centers across the globe. In the UK, I have datacenter space in Manchester and London.

I am only offering website hosting at this time. I have partnered up with Fastmail to offer email through them. However, you can host your email wherever else you would like.

If you would like a peak at the backend, I have setup a youtube channel with some video tours.

Happy to answer any questions.

From “sad news” to full launch announcement in record time. Stay classy @joeworkman

This is old news that JW has a hosting site business that opened a few months back…
Just saying…

As I stated, I started this 6 months ago. I am always classy… :kissing_heart:

The bar you have set is so low. This coming from you… I spat my coffee out. What a joke.

Classic @StacksWeaver. Always good to see you keeping a calm, measured response and the tone high, as usual :joy:

Calm? Always. Measured? Every word. Truthful? That’s the part you seem to be struggling with. Cheers for the concern about my tone, though.

I’m not sure why Realmac, or me personally, continues to be such a fixation for you.

We built a competing product because we believed we could do it better. We did. I appreciate that may be uncomfortable, but that’s how business works.
