Source: Canvas & Modal

I am currently playing around with Source in search of an alternative to the Foundry3 framework.

a question about this: does Source have a feature like Off-Canvas and a Modal?

thx

For a modal, I use BWD limelight.

Yep - i leave a lot of these types of things (modals, galleries, sliders, contact forms, accordions etc) to dedicated third-party stacks as they tend to do these things best.

For a modal/lightbox would agree with @Anugyan

I use fancyviewer and gateway from stacks4stacks

the limelight stack from BWD makes a very complex and not so easy to use impression on me. but I’ll take a look at Fancyviewer and Gateway from Stacks4Stacks …

I think I found two very interesting stacks from onelittledesigner Overlap Canvas and Side Menu

thanks for your help and answers

Limelight stack is very simple to use, if you want I can send you an example project to see how simple it is to create a menu.

@Gianluca
A simplified example project would be very nice of you!

the approach to creating websites with source is very different from that in Foundry3.

thx

Hi @Pegasus I use Foudry 3 and Alloy, I recently started using Source and Poster 2 from Instacks, I didn’t find a huge difference. I followed the manual and videos (as with Elixirgraphics) and “voila”. Still little problems related more to my way of thinking that find simple answers from Stuart and Jannis who both do a remarkable job (both in the design of their products and the support). I know it sounds a bit like an advert but it’s really what I think and what I’ve seen. Don’t be discouraged. 👍

I don’t remember well, because I’m from the iPhone, but it seems to me that you also need this stack (but it’s not needed) in the project:
https://stacks4stacks.com/rulestack/index.php (free)

in case you don’t want to install it, delete the stacks

thx!

i already had installed the “rule” stack from S4S :-)
