Someone, who was once active in the RW community, today told me that the stacks app is now officially dead, that the dev has said so on his channel. Is this true? I can’t access the channel, is think it’s Discord? I just tried logging in but it said my IP is unauthorised!
I mean, I’ve suspected as much for a long time, but just wondering if what I got told today was correct.

I can’t, it won’t let me access. Says my IP is unauthorised. I’m working in Spain at the moment, maybe Discord is blocked here.
That said, the few times I have had a look it’s been mostly useless info anyway. Streams of chat, people trying to sell stuff, and almost nothing of any use.
Although I’ve kinda accepted Stacks is dead (actions speak way louder than words), I do still hold out some hope that sometime soon the dev will drop a fully working version on us, we can all give him some money, and I won’t need to rebuild 60 sites in another platform. I just want a glimmer of light that says hold on, it’s coming. Or, someone without vested interests to tell me straight: It’s dead, move on.
It would be easy to assume that Stacks app is officially dead- but it’s not.
Stacks app is in what is called stagnant beta cycle, most of us are used to rapid development betas. This just means it takes about a year for any major public beta update. If you are following the yourheads discord posts, it looks like Isaiah is following the timeline that he mentions in a post not long ago.
Anyway…
Stacks app is still alive & in semi active beta for developers - I do not know if the developer beta has been updated since 11/2025.
Though the public beta was last updated last 8.5 months ago.
Stacks app public beta is usable, and runs ok.
So we wait.
