UIkit theme (beta) available for Stacks app

Hi everyone,

I’m putting together a version of the UIkit theme that works with Stacks app (the standalone version of Stacks plugin) and reproducing the Tests project made with RapidWeaver Classic + Stacks plugin: https://www.uikit.archetypon.net/projects/tests/overview/

Known issues:

RapidWeaver navigation will not function in Stacks app obviously, but those of you using UIkit Pro should have no problems building the site navigation using the Navbar stack in custom mode. Site title, slogan and logo used in RapidWeaver settings cannot work either, so use the Navbar custom settings for these.

Unfortunately the Navbar’s custom option is not available for the free version of UIkit, but I’m thinking a way of including this option in the free mode somehow.

In general UIkit is super-fast and trouble-free in Stacks app, but let me know if anyone is having any issues.

The link seems to no longer work. Is the beta theme available elsewhere?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Hi,
owned Uikit 3 for long time - just wanted to play around with it in Stacks app - please where can I find documentation how to use the different stacks?

https://uikitstacks.com is not working anymore

Thank you

Documentation is here: https://www.uikit.archetypon.net
Note I’m not developing or supporting UIkit for the time being.

OK so UIKit is no longer an option for Stacks App?

Unfortunately not for the time being.

Reminds me of that Queen song…

Fat bottomed girls?

Yes, that one

Good news Lucas. I was hoping for this.

You may have not read further down: it’s no longer in development.

Thank you for informing me. That poses a fairly big problem for me.

Yes – the current choices are if you want to stay with Stacks:

Stacks 6 / Foundation 6
Stacks 6 / AI (Claude or GPT)

All my sites are built with Uikit. I’ll just have to dive into Foundation.
I’m currently trying to work out how to use Joe Workman’s TotalCMS 3. Charming as he is I often find the rambling tutorials less than useful.

Guys actually the UIkit stacks seem to work without issues in Stacks app, I’m not releasing a new version but you are free to try the stacks with the theme I made for them.

Thank you Lucas, things are looking up.

Hah yes, the rambling tutorials. As for UIkit, yes I should have clarified something was released but then Lucas said it wouldn’t be developed further. So maybe you are fine for now. Same thing happened with Source, we got a beta theme and Stuart said he wouldn’t develop further. Personally I don’t feel comfortable building new sites with no longer supported tech, I’m strongly considering the Stacks 6/AI combo though.
