Yabdab Products Come to Weaver’s Space — Effective Today

Today I’m excited to share some big news: I’ve officially acquired the Yabdab product lineup, including FormSnap, FormSnap Add-On Packs, PaySnap, DateSnap, Filter, and CmsGo.

As of right now, all support for these products is handled through Weaver’s Space, and I’m already digging in. The products are not yet available for purchase on my site. That will come soon, once everything is updated, organized, and ready for a smooth relaunch.

A Big Thank You to Mike

Before I say anything else, I want to take a moment to thank Mike.

Long before I wrote my first stack, I was one of Mike’s customers. Formloom was the first RapidWeaver add-on I ever bought, and it set me on the path I’m still on today.

About 16 years ago, Mike reached out and asked if I’d beta test this new thing he was building called Cartloom. At the same time, Isaiah was pushing me to stop giving everything away for free and actually become a developer. Those two things together changed my entire trajectory.

I still use Cartloom every day. I love it, and I’m excited to see where Mike takes it next.

On a personal note, some of my favorite memories from the early days were the late-night/early-morning exchanges: me finishing work at 2 AM, and Mike popping up at 5 AM like he’d already had a full day. He’s been a constant presence for a long, long time.

Mike has been part of the DNA of this community for more than two decades, and I’m grateful for everything he’s contributed to RapidWeaver, to Stacks, and to me personally.

What This Means for Users

I know news like this can sometimes make people feel uneasy — “another developer is leaving,” “another piece of history,” etc.

But here’s the important part:

These products aren’t disappearing. They’re getting a new chapter.

They will have:

  • Active support
  • A clear roadmap
  • Maintenance and updates
  • Integration with the modern Stacks environment
  • A home that’s going to keep them alive and relevant

This is continuity, not loss.

PaySnap especially opens a major door in my lineup, and I’m genuinely excited to start shaping its future.

A couple notes:

  • Products will return to the store soon — I just want to take the time to fully evaluate, rebuild where needed, and ensure everything is ready for long-term success.
  • CmsGo will likely remain retired, given Total CMS 3 already fills that space.
  • DateSnap and Filter will be evaluated to see whether they can be re-released in a modern form.

More on all that soon.

A New Era for These Tools

Weaver’s Space will carry these products forward with the same goals that guide everything I build:

  • Longevity
  • Quality
  • Transparent communication
  • And a commitment to actually improving the tools over time

I’m honored to take on the next generation of these add-ons, and I’m excited for what we can build with them.

More details coming soon — including availability, upgrade paths, and what’s next for each of the products.

Thanks everyone, and thank you again, Mike. You’ve left a huge mark here, and your work will continue helping people build great things for years to come.

Cheers,
Joe

It is great the JW will keep Yabdab product lineup up & running. it’s a guess that many of old Yabdab users will breathe a sigh of relief. So much has changed over these last eight years…

Though it’s beginning to look like the a remake of the Highlander or LoTR Movies.
( “There can be only one” or “One Stack’s Add-on Developer to rule them all” )

Hi Joe, I‘d like to see CmsGo to come back as a product to buy. There is definitely a space for entry level cms add-ons to existing sites :hugs:.

it’s a nice product , I had hosted some demos in my themes a while back, but it works differently from Joe CMS. Having the opportunity to make comparisons is always a good thing!

I appreciate the feedback. I will be straight up and honest with you. I do not think that that will happen. I am on the cusp of releasing Total CMS 3. I have been working on it for over 3 years now. I have to say that it’s pretty amazing. However, it’s not perfect. While I do feel that it’s both more powerful and easier to use than Total CMS 1, I could do better.

For example, CmsGo allows you to edit content live on the webpage. I had plans to add this to Total CMS before CMSGo was ever released. I still have not implemented it, but it’s definitely on my must-have list.

What features did you like about CMSGo?
